This is the second song in a creative series based on the research conducted on the experiences of South African physiotherapists subjected to forensic audits by medical funding schemes. Set to the tune of ABBA’s “Money, Money, Money,” this satirical rewrite echoes the frustration, injustice, and financial stranglehold faced by many practitioners.
The lyrics draw inspiration from real-world interviews and the findings of the Section 59.3 final report, which confirmed patterns of unfair and potentially discriminatory auditing practices.
This song aims to raise awareness through humour and music, because sometimes, the system is so broken that all you can do is sing about it.
🎤 Disclaimer:
The vocals may not be what they once were as audits tend to do that, but the message is clear and heartfelt.
