On 23 April 2021, World book day, SIASA invited local authors who had written and published books during lock-down, to share their books on a virtual platform with other authors.

This was a wonderful event that I had the privilege of attending and meeting other like-minded authors who were sharing their books. Many of the books written were based on the experiences of the individual authors and each had a turn to share who they were and why they were inspired to write their books.

This is the beginning of a large movement in getting local authors to write books in their own mother tongue and to share with other new authors on how to get the process started and help each other in developing a culture of reading in our Country.

SIASA is creating a platform where we as the first authors who were at the launch have been asked to form a type of panel for future events. I am excited to be part of this movement and am hoping to share my books with the children these books were intended for. I am pleased to say that several of my books feature on this collage below and that I had the privilege in sharing my books "Ashes to ashes, overcoming all forms of loss" and "You weren't born in a barn, where are your manners"
